Ms Massaro’s always been passionate about dolphins and from 1994 to 2000 she traveled to Australia to observe the life of the famous bottlenose dolphins of Monkey Mia, in Shark Bay and in Egypt at Nuweiba to meet Abdillah and the dauphine Holine. Ms Massaro was in Israel at Eilat and again in Australia, at the Dolphin Discovery Center of Bumbury (Perth) to verify the efficiency of the dolphin therapy in open water. Always been involved in volunteer work,  she won the 2001 Isolaverde Award held annually by the newspaper Il Golfo, to reward the islanders committed to social work.
