Rossana Tenerelli

rossana tenerelliRossana holds a Bachelor’s Degree cum laude in Political Science from the United States and a degree in International and Diplomatic Relations from Italy, with a Masters in Project Management.

Since 2015, Rossana oversees the communications and institutional relations functions for ODO. Her role is to develop and strengthen stakeholders’ awareness - institutions and civil society - of the research and conservation efforts carried out by the organisation with a view to foster a network of partnerships and raise support in favour of cetaceans and the marine biodiversity in the Mediterranean Sea. Managing communication and educational outreach activities and events, she is also in charge of the media and press office. Thanks to her passion for cetaceans and marine wildlife, she also contributes in field work such as in data gathering and monitoring activities for Delfini Capitolini and Ischia Dolphin Project, as a research assistant. She is also very passionate about acoustics analysis.

Prior to joining ODO, Rossana spent 5 years working in commercial diplomacy and public relations for the British Embassy in Rome, as well as a period in corporate communication for the shipping sector in Switzerland and Scotland.

Rossana speaks Italian, English, Spanish and basic French.

She strongly believes in the importance of creating networks of passionate individuals and the value of cross-competenced collaborations for the success of the environment’s conservation. She is in fact currently involved in numerous projects of Citizen Science.
